Capturing the art of woodcraft: a journey with an Oregon artisan

We have a deep affinity for various types of video content, but documentary-style storytelling holds a special place in our hearts. This is precisely what we explored while working with an exceptionally skilled woodworker based in Banks, Oregon.

He is driven by his love for turning locally-sourced wood into artisanal design pieces that are crafted by hand and inherently unique. His process begins the moment he fells a tree and continues as he crafts each piece, marrying natural treatments with meticulous hand detailing.

What sets him apart is his quest to create irreplaceable designs from local native woods, a mission that includes collaborations with area arborists to salvage trees that would have otherwise been reduced to firewood.

Located in Banks, Oregon, Waldemar Woodworks and W3 Studios are passionate about transforming native woods into naturally processed and hand-detailed custom design concepts. From the time we cut a tree, we embark on a journey with it. We are on a mission to transform some of the most beautiful pieces of local native woods through professional removal, natural processing, and hand-detailed design that can never be duplicated. Every design concept, whether a centerpiece in your home or an unfinished turning block, speaks of our passion for the art of woodworking. Our love for native woods has also resulted in us working closely with local arborists to repurpose trees that would have otherwise become firewood.
